March Commissary Remote Location Sales

Well, the sequester hasn’t killed the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) remote location sales.  At least, not yet…

Most months, DeCA brings commissary products and prices to locations away from regular bricks-and-mortar Commissary stores.   DeCA calls them “Guard and Reserve Sales,” I call them remote location sales because they are open to all eligible Commissary patrons.

Each sale is sponsored by the nearest regular Commissary store.  That store’s contact details can be found by clicking on the link in the listing below.  I strongly recommend you call the sponsoring store to verify times, location, and details before travelling to a remote location sale, because crazy stuff can happen.

For March:

March 8 – 9
Walla Walla Armory
113 S. Colville St.
Walla Walla, WA 99362

March 9 – 10
Camp McCain
3162 James Biddy Rd., Bldg. S220
Grenada MS 38901

March 15 – 17
ANG Volunteer Training Site
Family Readiness Center, 686 Fitzhugh Blvd.
Smyrna, TN 37167-2069

March 22 – 24
Armed Forces Reserve Center Gym
1304 Kekuanaoa Street
Hilo, HI 96720

I will be curious to see if these remote location sales will continue to occur.  DeCA has cancelled the May case lot sales for overseas locations due to the logistical costs required, and I can not see how these remote location sales are much different.  I’m guessing that we will see this benefit disappear before too long.  What do you think?

You should be able to get a new ID card from any National Guard base that has a DEERS office. I got mine from the one in Salem, Oregon.
