Long Pay Period Alert! July 2012

If you are struggling to make ends meet, a long pay period can be a big problem.  It can be an even bigger problem if you don’t notice it until it happens.  Well, be warned:  the second half of July is a whopper in the long pay period department.  There are 19 days between 13 July and 1 August.

Start planning your spending now to make sure that you don’t run out of money before you run out of July.  Anticipating a problem?  Get creative.  Perhaps this is the right time to add a second income to your family, or to have that yard sale, or start eBaying your excess stuff.  Cut costs by turning down the AC, driving less, and planning your meals.

Find that you’ve added income and decreased costs, and it still isn’t enough?  Avoid evil payday lenders and talk with your branches relief society.  Then, start figuring out how to organize your spending to build a little cushion for the next long one…it happens in the second half of December.

Military pay period, eh? Yes, more tax payer money going down the drain to reimburse soldiers for their part in implementing the New World Order. Oh, and also securing the opium poppy fields in Afghanistan so the CIA can harvest, process and ship it home to the U$A where it will be sold on the street at a huge profit. After that, the troops will return home…soon to be re-deployed across the nation when martial law is enacted. Soldiers will routinely round up citizens and execute them. They will harm children and destroy communities…and WE are paying for it. Start seeing American soldiers for what they really are: stupid, heartless, gullible, simple minded government puppets and murderers. Burn in **** yankee swine.

Wow, pathetic much? Soldiers bust their asses everyday, and sacrifice their lives and previous time with their families so that people like you have the right to say stupid shit like that and so you can sleep safely every night. I guess if they do go to hell however, they will meet your sorry, pathetic excuse for a human being there.

Did the last three people actually read the author’s post? Not sure what Kate said that deserves all the hate from the previous three. May be I missed something I guess.

My post kind of double posted but was directed at the first comment not the article itself… most military probably realized the long pay period already but article might have been helpful for some more junior guys. And their spouses

Why is the first person to comment mad again? Just curious because any active duty person knows allot, maybe more than less, of soldiers delicately balance in between checks and are fine with that until a long pay period comes around…Maybe someone was already angry when they started a financial search for some reason?
