Hey, sports fans, wondering when the next military payday might be coming? You are in luck. The next regular, active duty military payday is Friday, 29 June, which is next Friday. And when might you actually see your pay? Well, that depends on your bank, and what sort of account you have.
Many banks and credit unions offer early deposit of military pay as a courtesy to their customers. The most common is that pay is released one business day early. Participating institutions include USAA and Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU), plus others. For this pay day, that will be Thursday, 28 June.
Navy Federal Credit Union is a little tricky because it depends on what type of account into which you have your pay deposited. Customers who have an Active Duty checking account should receive their pay one business day early. It will show as pending on Wednesday, 27 June and post overnight to be available on Thursday, 28 June. Customers who have any other type of account, including Everyday checking, e-Checking, Student checking and Premier checking will see their payments pending in their account on Thursday, 28 June and post overnight to be available for use on Friday, 29 June. Keep in mind, just because you are on active duty does not mean that you have an Active Duty checking account – it is a choice that you make. Not sure what type of account you have? Check your online account statement, stop by your branch, or give them a call.
Service Credit Union deposits pay up to two business days early, pending the receipt of the DFAS files. Since the payday falls on a Friday, it is pretty safe that they will probably post deposits on Wednesday, 27 June 2012.
