Veteran’s Day Discounts 2011

Every year, companies across the US offer a wide varieties of deals and discounts in honor of Veteran’s Day, 11 November.  This list will continue to be updated as I learn new information.  Please be sure to contact individual locations to verify hours and restrictions.  This is a nice thing that companies do for the military and I hate to see it being turned into something negative due to miscommunication or disagreements about documentation.  Each business gets to make their own rules about what they consider acceptable identification in order to qualify for the promotion.  Also, please be sure to tip on the pre-discount amount of the check.  Those servers are working hard, too!

I’m just doing restaurants and other food items today, or else the post will be impossibly long.  Up next:  entertainment, shopping, and other goodies.

Went to Subway in Missoula, Mt. and they gave a free 6″ sandwich all day. Also went to Applebee’s for dinner and the place was full of vets, most were from the 1960’s and the meal was large and super good. The waiters were great too. They were very respectful.
Thank you to Subway and Applebees for remembering all the vets and enlisted men and women who are in the military now.
