Charity Spotlight: Veteran Tickets Foundation

I went to a concert a few weeks ago, and there were a lot of people outside with extra tickets.  Not scalpers, just regular old folks who were hoping to give away their extra tickets rather than waste them.  I’ve come across an awesome charity that accepts donations from organizations and individuals, plus utilizes cash donations, to help provide a variety of different types of tickets to veterans and active duty service members.

The Veteran Tickets Foundation, VetTix for short, accepts donations of event tickets and then makes them available to veterans and active duty folks.  This simple and low-overhead plan provides all sorts of experiences, including sporting events, musical concerts, and dance performances.

You can check out their webpage to see if there is an event you’d like to attend, or you can donate to help fulfill the wishes of a veteran or servicemember.
