Sears Heroes at Home – Important Update – Must Reregister!

UPDATE:  Closed after 25 minutes!  I hope lots of you were able to register.

According to their Facebook page, Sears has decided to scrap all the original registrations for the Heroes at Home program and do an entirely new registration on Saturday!

A number of you have expressed concerns over problems encountered with the Wish Registry application process. Given the sacrifices all our military heroes and their families make, it’s important that everyone have an equal opportunity to register. Accordingly, a new registration process will be conducted on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1pm CST.

PLEASE NOTE: All prior applications will be discarded.  If you were able to submit a registry application yesterday, you must re-apply during the new registration time period in ordered to be considered for the registry. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused but want things to be fair for all families.

To learn more or apply for the 2011 Wish Registry, visit www.Sears.com/HeroesatHome.

Wow! I hope that even more people are able to register on Saturday, and that their server will be able to keep up with the traffic.

thats so crazy cause it only took me like 1o seconds to do it the first time!

    10*

Glad they are doing this! It was very unfair to have a glitch that didn’t accept certain birth months. I tried for 30 min & was on hold with customer service the entire time I was trying to be told oh well, registration is closed now anyways. Everyone should have a fair chance, and it wouldn’t be fair to those who were there and could have registered, if it weren’t for the glitches.

what is unfair is that our soldiers overseas who registered on their day off of mission so their family at home would have a nice Christmas (I know many who shop online with these cards and send it to their house) may not be lucky enough to have the day off today to re-register. That and this is the first year that my family has gotten through in 4 years. If I don’t get through again today I will be very upset.

Im trying to register again, and it says it opens at one but i dont see where it is? Do you have the link to go to?

  • Dez

Im trying to get on to register but, its not open?? Its part 1? What is the deallll

  • dez

    Past one**

  • K&J

Well, not everyone gets it every year, like us, this will be our first, so why is it so unfair for you again when you’ve gotten the blessings for 4 years now?!?
It’s Saturday so most should be off Sunday and if not, their spouse can also do the registration.

  • louis

stop being ungrateful and all, it is free, we should not expect anything..it is our job..remember that?

  • Sara

Anybody having any luck getting on?

  • janna

    i cant get on

  • nanee

Hey people Jackie said that this year was the FIRST in four years that they have actually gotten it. She did NOT say she has gotten it for the last 4!!!! Sheesh!!!

  • guest

Well I guess I screwed up my husband is deployed so I entered my name and I was told that wont work. Well that is BS. He is deployed.

    • guest

You didn’t read the directions that were on the page that specifically said enter only the servicemembers name/birthdate so how is it BS? RTFM all I gotta say

  • ofelia Ponce

My husband got through it but wen he send it it sed tha the conection was not working i don’t no if that counts, it’s sad because our station don’t have help for noting………

  • Pam

I checked the web site weeks ago and it said September 11th was the date for registering….NOT! I put a sticky note on my computer to remind me!!! Out of curiosity today, looked at Sears….very disappointed! Son has been in 10 years…NO MORE SHOPPING AT SEARS FOR THIS FAMILY….they shouldn’t post a date on the web page and not stick to it!!! SEARS CARD SHREDDED MOMENTS AGO!!!

    • anonymous

It is such a shame that you would take such a drastic action toward Sears out of your own spite. For your information, they changed the date from 09/11 to 09/04 out of respect for the military and the commemoration of the 10 year anniversary of the tragedies of that day. Sears does a lot for their military and veteran customers and you would choose to quit being a customer because you can’t get your way. You should be ashamed of yourself!

  • angela

In Early Aug they had it posted on their website that the registration would open Sep 11, 2011. So today I log on and nothing, all I can say is Wow.. Very disapointed.

  • Julia

honestly, i understand what everyone is saying, but at the same time its free! we can’t really complain to much, yes they need to fix the problems & yes there has got to be an easier way to register for this! but people its free $ don’t complain, be greatful
